Tony Donile Delivers 40 Years of Direct Sales and Management Expertise to Engineering Company Seeking to Broaden Reach in North America.

When Marques McCammon became president of Ricardo, Inc., in October 2019, he stated that the 105-year-old engineering company that focuses on transportation and clean tech sectors would soon demonstrate renewed emphasis on North American sales and marketing. Today, Tony Donile, with four decades of building customer relationships in automotive, agricultural, heavy duty, aerospace and defense, has been named Ricardo’s North American vice president of business development for automotive and industrial.

“With his unmatched record in the global automotive software and services marketplace, Tony is the ideal person to lead Ricardo’s sales efforts in the U.S., Canada and Mexico,” says McCammon. “Software is going to redefine the automobile, and Tony, with his international experience and network of contacts, is positioned to tell the Ricardo story to current and potential clients.”

Prior to joining Ricardo, Donile served as the senior director of global automotive sales at Intel subsidiary Wind River, where McCammon was senior director of automotive products. At Wind River, Donile led an international sales team focused on the automotive original equipment manufacturers and top tier suppliers. He has also held services and software sales leadership in positions at Sun Microsystems, Luxoft and Green Hills Software.

“Marques is assembling a top-flight leadership team and organization,” says Donile. “As we aim toward a zero-carbon future, the auto industry needs unique partners like Ricardo, whose team of domain expert engineers helps clients find a near- and long-term balance to meet their business, technology and ecological objectives. We are here to build the bridge between new tech and conventional vehicle design.” Ricardo, Inc., the U.S. operating entity of British global technology and sustainability consulting firm Ricardo plc, has offices in Michigan – where Donile is based – as well as Northern and Southern California.
